The crossword you have to remember.
All the letters are face down. Each turn you flip a few over for a couple of seconds and try to hold on to them. When you think you know a word, say it. If you’re right, it’s yours. If you’re wrong, everyone gets to see the letters you had, so don’t guess unless you mean it.
Play with friends
Two to 4 of you. Put the board up on the TV or a laptop and everyone plays from their phone. Nothing to install, no signing up. One person short? Add a bot.
Solo
Just you, no timer. Pick a topic and see how few peeks you need to finish the board. Good for a quiet ten minutes. There’s a Kids pack as well.

1. Have a look
Roll to see how many peeks you get, two to four. Tap a tile and you’ll see its letter for 3 seconds. Nobody else sees it, but they can see where you looked.
2. Hang on to it
This is the hard part. Keep the letters in your head, or stick a note on a tile if you don’t trust yourself. And keep an eye on where the others keep peeking.
3. Say the word
Reckon you know one? Guess it. The fewer peeks you used on that word, the more it’s worth. Get it wrong and the letters you had right get flipped over for everyone.

So what is it, exactly?
A crossword where all the letters are face down. You get to look at a few of them for a couple of seconds, then you have to remember what you saw and work out the words. Whoever says a word first gets it. It’s free.
How many people can play?
Two to 4 in a room. If you’re short of people, add a bot. You can also play on your own: Solo has no timer, and the Daily is one puzzle that everybody gets that day.
Do we need to install anything?
No. It runs in the browser. One of you opens it on a TV or laptop, the rest scan the code with your phones. You don’t need an account either.
What if we’re not in the same place?
That works too. Send everyone the four-letter room code and you all play from your phones. The phone shows the whole board, so you don’t need a big screen.
What are the Mini, the Daily and the Big one?
Three puzzles a day, the same for everybody. The Mini is five short words and takes a couple of minutes. The Daily is eight everyday words. The Big one has twelve words and a different topic each day, like Movies on Monday and Rock Bands on Friday. Finish any of them to keep your streak going. If you miss a day, a free freeze covers it, once a week.
How do points work?
Ten points a letter for every word you get. If you barely peeked at that word you get a bonus, up to triple. Guess wrong and you lose some points, and the letters you had right get flipped over for everyone else to see.
Is it okay for kids?
Yes. There’s a Kids word pack with easy, friendly words, and we’ve gone through every list so nothing rude or scary shows up. Solo mode is the easiest place for younger kids to start because there’s no clock.
What words are in it?
You can pick US English, UK English or German. In English there’s a big everyday list plus Kids, Animals, Food & Drink, Around the World, Science & Nature, Sports & Games, Around the House, Movies, Rock Bands, TV Shows, Music, Geography, Fairy Tales. More packs are coming.
